  3. Develop a strong message and a hook.  Something that will catch their attention and make you more memorable than your competition.


  4. Have business cards and stationery made ASAP.  Having professional looking business cards and stationery lets your customers know that you take your business seriously.


  5. Get you business cards into as many hands as possible!  The more customers see your name out there the better the possibility that they will remember you when the time comes that they need your service.


  6. If you regularly use your car or truck for your business have your business name, logo and contact info prominently displayed on the side.


  7. Have sales letters, flyers, rack cards and promotional products on hand to give to prospective clients.  Once again your name will be in their hands for future sales.


  8. Get involved in local organizations, charity events and civic organizations.  Have those business cards ready to hand out!
